Welcome To Sai Baba Shirdi

An adolescent bearded man, having radiant eyes took refuge in one of the mosques. This incident happened in the village of Shirdi ( of Maharashtra State), at the starting of 18th century. Shiridi Sai Baba barely uttered anything and stayed in the mosque. No one had an idea from where did this stranger came from. After few years this Saint was known as Shirdi Sai Baba.

Shridi Sai Baba never asked a thing from them, until the inquisitive residents of the village begun offering food items to Shirdi Saibaba. Sometimes, Shridi Sai Baba shared and offered his food items with the creatures of the village. Soon, Sai Baba Shirdi started uttering his point of view with a few old people of the village. Shirdi Sai Baba had an extraordinary power of resolving the troubles of deprived, poor and destitute and his simple language of expression quickly made this never heard fakir famous as Shridi Sai Baba. Devotees began to come to Shirdi in continuously increasing numbers, as the days passed. The village started rapidly becoming a well-known place for pilgrimage of Shirdi Saibaba. The splendor and ritual of Saibaba worship were growing, as gifts and presents flowed in. Everyday, Shirdi Baba used to become a beggar having dispersed all his belongings (including food items) amongst the poor and the deprived ones. But life of Shirdi Sai Baba, as a fakir stayed uninterrupted, calm, unchanged and therein is the saint's saintly magnificence.

People soon realized that this "Saibaba" was not a common man, but a man with special powers. Such types of powers and special abilities are not there in normal and usual humans. Shridi Sai Baba advocated his principle of faith and love in humankind, to all his followers. Shirdi Baba always felt painful, that the devotees who visit to see Sai Baba Shirdi always come for their personal problem, not for achieving the eventual objective of reaching God.

Shridi Sai Baba never discriminated anybody because of their caste or religion and he strongly believed in uniformity of religion. Those who came to Shirdi Saibaba in their state of requirement and sorrow, Saibaba never try to send him back empty handed. To lessen the pain and anguish of poor and deprived people, Shirdi Baba performed miracles. It is said that once, Shirdi Sai Baba lighted a lantern with water, when there was no oil left to burn the lamp and in another occasion Shirdi Saibaba restored the eyes of a blind elderly.

Shirdi Baba left his body at his own will on 15 October. 1918, as all good things have to end ultimately, leaving behind, his countless followers and believers crying. Shirdi Sai Baba body was laid in the Samadhi Mandir known as 'Booty', which Shiridi Sai Baba requested to one of his followers to built, before his death.

Shiridi Sai Baba lived his message through the spirit of his being; Saibaba was unique, in that. Shiridi Sai Baba life and association with common man was his philosophy. Shiridi Sai Baba radiated a deep inward look and a mystifying smile, of a silence that flowed to all of his followers. Whether they are, Shirdi Saibaba devotees or not, Shirdi Baba was always conscious of what emerged within the spirits and psyche of everybody. To free them from the clutches of fear, Sai Baba Shirdi came to serve human being.
