There are four Shirdi Sai Baba Aarti and Shirdi Sai Baba Bhajans sessions all through the day at Shirdi. During which devotees recite Sai Baba Bhajan and seek His blessings. The language in which Shirdi Sai Baba Aarti and Shirdi Sai Baba Bhajans are sung is Marathi. Shri Sai Baba is an epitome of the supreme power that protects, support and guides as a living manifestation of the abstract concept of God. This yearning that has created a bond of faith and love between Sai and his devotee is expressed through the Sai Baba Bhajan.
The day begins with the morning Sai Baba Arti called the Kakkad Aarti at 5.15am with the invocation of Shri Sai Baba. Midday aarti or Madhyan Aarti is held at 12noon with Shirdi Sai Baba Bhajans. The Sandhya Aarti or evening Sai Baba Arti performed at 6.30pm and the day closes with Night aarti or Shej Aarti at 10pm with Shirdi Sai Baba Bhajans. With Shej Aarti darshan of Shri Saibaba gets over till the next day. During all these rituals and rites, priests attend on him. Devotees make offerings to Saibaba in the form of new flowers, clothes, sweets and fruits, etc during these Shirdi Sai Baba Aarti and Sai Bhajans. As a token of love from Shri Sai at the end of the Shirdi Sai Baba Bhajans, a little bit of sacred ash or Udi is also given to the devotees.
